Background Information
Promethean boards are currently being rolled out to all elementary schools in Montgomery County Public Schools. This initiative will be ready at the start of the 2013-2014 school year. There are many schools in the county that already have access to these boards in the classroom. Promethean boards are currently in every classroom at Bells Mill Elementary School in Potomac, MD. Staff at this school need professional development to implement these boards effectively into the instruction. Many teachers were hired without proper training on how to use and intergrate Promethean boards into the classroom effectively. Promethean boards actively engage students and motivate students to participate. This website will provide useful information about integrating promethean boards into daily instruction.
