Purpose
The purpose of this professional development to have staff members at Bells Mill Elementary School to be able to fully integrate promethean boards into their daily instruction. Staff need additional training on how to use promethean boards and the software associate with them to make their lessons engaging for their students.
Outcomes
- Staff members will feel more comfortable using promethean boards in their daily lessons.
- Staff members will be able to navigate ActivInspire.
- Staff members will be able to create flipcharts using ActivInspire.
- Staff members will be able to understand the importance of using promethean boards to increase student engagement and motivation.
Pre-requisite Skills and Materials
The only materials that teachers will need to complete the professional development is access to the Promethean Board and accompanying software. Teachers need basic computer skills to be able to operate the Promethean Board effectively.Teachers can create flipcharts using the program ActivInspire to create engaging lessons for their students. There are many great tools that teachers can utilize in their classrooms.
